In this review, our team at Andy Mohr Kia will introduce you to some of the features that make the new Cadenza an all-around winner. Let’s get started under the Cadenza’s hood!
The 2018 Kia Cadenza is powered by a 3.3L V6 engine, an 8-speed automatic transmission, and a front-wheel drivetrain. The EPA-estimated specifications have not yet been released for the 2018 Cadenza, but the 2017 Cadenza has the same mechanical configuration. It gets the 2017 Cadenza a respectable EPA-estimated 28 highway/20 city/23 combined MPG.1 We can only assume that these specifications will be similar in the new 2018 model.
As for power output, this engine is just as powerful as it is efficient. Standardly, you’ll get an impressive 290 horsepower and 253 lb-ft of torque with the 2018 Cadenza.
One bonus feature you’ll find is the ability to toggle between four driving modes. Switch between Comfort, Eco, Sport, and Smart modes to alter steering and throttle response based on your driving conditions.
Kia Cadenza Interior
The inside of the 2018 Kia Cadenza is equal parts spacious, luxurious, and comfortable. All trim levels come standard with leather upholstery, automatic climate control, and plenty of wiggle room for five passengers.
The front two seats of the Cadenza have 40.2 inches of headroom, 38.5 inches of legroom, and a whopping 58.3 inches of shoulder room. As for the rear seats, you’ll have 37.9 inches of headroom, 37.2 inches of legroom, and 56.5 inches of shoulder room.
In addition to the 107.8 cubic feet of passenger volume you’ll be able to enjoy in this model, you’ll have 16 cubic feet of cargo space to pack up all your things.
