The Niro’s Performance 
The Niro comes standard with a 1.6-liter 4-cylinder engine paired with an electric motor. They produce 139 horsepower and come with a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, which provides smoother shifts than the continuously variable transmissions used in many other hybrid vehicles.
You’ll get the Active Eco System to further reduce fuel consumption, giving the car an EPA-estimated fuel efficiency rating of 52 city/49 highway miles per gallon.*
The Niro also comes with selectable driving modes, so you can choose a driving feel that suits your preferences. Front-wheel drive is standard, and the regenerative braking system is smoother than other hybrids, so your drives around Avon, Indianapolis, and Plainfield will be comfortable.

2018 Kia Niro Interior
The 2018 Niro interior seats 5 on standard cloth upholstery and features a tilt and telescoping steering wheel. For extra luxury, you can add available options such as leather upholstery, heated and ventilated front seats, a 10-way power adjustable driver’s seat, driver’s seat memory settings, and a heated steering wheel.
With all 5 seats in use, there’s 19.4 cubic feet of cargo space in the car. Fold the 60/40-split rear seats flat and you’ll have a total of 54.5 cubic feet of cargo capacity. The front seats offer 40.1 inches of headroom and 41.7 inches of legroom. In the back seats, there’s 39.1 inches of headroom and 37.4 inches of legroom.
