High-Tech Ambience

The Kia Soul is all about music. It comes standard with an AM/FM/MP3 6-speaker audio system, which includes two front tweeters that provide crisp audio to the driver and front passenger. Android Auto™, Apple CarPlay®, and Bluetooth® wireless technology all come standard, increasing your ability to listen to whatever audio you prefer.

For even better sound quality, upgrade to the available Harman/Kardon® audio system. This externally amplified 10-speaker system includes a tuned center speaker and subwoofer. Plus, with 640 watts, it’s twice as powerful as the system available in the 2019 Soul.

Performance and fuel economy both get a boost in the 2020 Kia Soul thanks to a new Intelligent Variable Transmission (IVT). This transmission, which first appeared in the 2019 Kia Forte, is basically the next generation of CVT. Technical improvements offer a quieter and more enjoyable drive than standard CVTs.

The IVT also continues to provide the impressive fuel economy that made CVTs so popular. When combined with the 2.0 4-cylinder engine, this Soul gets an EPA-estimated 27 MPG city/33 MPG highway*. Plus, you get to enjoy 147 horsepower and 132 lb-ft of torque.

Want more power? The available 1.6L twin-scroll turbocharged engine provides 201 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque. It achieves this while barely sacrificing any efficiency, with an EPA-estimated 27 MPG city/32 MPG highway*. Plus, thanks to twin-scroll technology, you get plenty of power as soon as you hit the gas pedal—no more turbo lag.

Comfort & Convenience

A boxy frame allows the Soul to stand out from the crowd—but it comes with other benefits, too. For instance, it allows you to enjoy more interior space than you’d expect given the vehicle’s compact size. There’s 102.2 cubic feet of passenger volume, which includes 39.4 inches of headroom in the front and 39.5 inches in the rear.
