Kia Niro Trim Levels: The FE
As the baselines of the 2018 Kira Niro trim family, the Niro FE lays the foundation for what’s to come in the remaining levels. So, let’s take a detailed look at what this vehicle has to offer.
The 2018 Kia Niro is a crossover that incorporates a full-parallel hybrid system. This is comprised of an AC synchronous permanent motor and a lithium-ion battery.
With the combined powers of all its engine components, the 1.6L powertrain in the Niro is able to produce 139 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque.
Meanwhile, this front-wheel driving vehicle still maintains an EPA-estimated 52 MPG city and 49 MPG highway.1
Niro FE Interior Comfort
The Niro FE starts off with a solid interior array. First and foremost, it comes standard with soft cloth trim. This is a good complement to the 4-way adjustable seat that you’ll find in the crossover.
Once you’re settled in, you can make use of the many standard technologies, including UVO infotainment. UVO allows drivers to control given apps with voice commands. Of course, you’ll also have a 7-inch touchscreen and Bluetooth® to help with that.
Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ also come standard in the Niro FE. These features allow drivers to integrate their mobile devices and pull up their favorite apps on the touchscreen.
The Kia Niro FE was designed to absorb and rebuff collision impacts. This is all thanks to its sturdy body, which has been enhanced with front and rear crumple zones, as well as side-impact door beams.
However, you’ll also have some handling features in place to help keep you on course. These include Vehicle Stability Management, Electronic Stability Control, and the Traction Control System.
