2018 Kia Sportage Trim Levels

Buy Kia Sportage

One of the most important decisions in the car buying process is deciding which trim level fits your needs. Drivers in the Indianapolis area have three 2018 Kia Sportage trim levels to choose from for their commutes around Avon and Plainfield.

To help you make an informed decision, Andy Mohr Kia created this review so it’s clearer exactly where these trims differ.

2018 Kia Sportage LX

Sportage LXThe LX builds a lot of perks and power into the base trim with a 2.4L 4-Cylinder engine generating 181 horsepower and 175 lb-ft of torque.

It comes standard with front-wheel drive, which gets the SUV an EPA-estimated fuel economy of 23 MPG city and 30 MPG highway.1

Drivers have the option to equip their LX with the available Dynamax™ all-wheel drive for added handling and stability. This drivetrain gets an EPA-estimated 21 MPG city and 25 MPG highway fuel economy.1

This trim maximizes its fuel economy with the Drive Mode Select System, that allows drivers to choose between Regular, Sport, Eco, and Snow drive modes so that the SUV is always operating at peak efficiency for the presented driving conditions.

Sportage EX

In addition to everything on the LX trim, the EX adds front fog lights for improved visibility in inclement weather and a windshield wiper de-icer to help you get on the road faster on those cold winter mornings when you don’t have time to wait.

Kia SportageThis trim adds the UVO link Infotainment System with seven-inch touchscreen, as well. This system provides voice-activated hands-free access to several features, including:

  • Music
  • Phone
  • Navigation
  • Vehicle diagnostics

It also includes Parking Minder, so you never forget where you parked no matter how big the lot. Parents will like having access to My Car Zone, which lets them set curfew limits, speed alerts, and geofence alerts to keep track of young drivers.

This trim introduces safety technology like Blind-Spot Detection with Lane-Change Assist and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert. These systems monitor your side and rear blind spots, so you always know when it’s safe to merge or back out of a parking space.

  • Front and Rear Park Assist
  • Lane Departure Warning
  • Forward Collision Warning
  • Autonomous Emergency Braking

These features monitor your driving direction and unseen hazards in the road, then automatically correct driver steering and braking to avoid or lessen a potential impact.

The SX Turbo also lets you feel like you’re in the front row at your favorite concert with the Harman Kardon® 320-watt premium 8-speaker audio system w/ Clari-Fi™.
