A sedan with a lot of power under the hood and a bold design is a great way to get around Avon, Indianapolis, and Plainfield. The Kia Stinger offers the power of a muscle car and an eye-catching design that will get you noticed.
This powerful sedan has a lot of performance options on each of its trims, but which one has all the features that you’re looking for? Andy Mohr KIA looked at all the 2018 Kia Stinger trim levels to help you decide which one is the best fit for you.
Kia Stinger 2.0L
The base trim for the 2018 Kia Stinger 2.0L features a Twin Scroll Turbo 4-clyinder engine that gets 255 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. It works with an 8-speed automatic transmission but features steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters that let you control gear shifting.
It has a sporty design with 18-inch alloy wheels and dual chrome exhaust tips to give it the look of a classic muscle car. Its design is also aerodynamic, which helps it get an impressive EPA-estimated 29 MPG highway.1
Inside it has standard leather seats and a 12-way power-adjustable driver’s seat with lumbar support. The front seats aren’t just supportive, they’re heated for extra comfort in the winter. Passengers in the front and back will both appreciate the dual-zone automatic temperature control.
At the controls you’ll find the UVO eServices Infotainment System, featuring a 7-inch touch screen that works with Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™. This screen also gives you a glimpse behind you with the Rear-Camera Display.
Kia Stinger Premium
The next trim up is the 2018 Kia Stinger Premium. It has the same engine and drivetrain but has more standard features.
For starters, the UVO system screen is slightly larger at 8 inches and has a voice-command navigation system. The sound system gets a boost, too, with the Harman/Kardon® premium audio surround-sound system with 15 speakers.
You can share that great sound system with everyone you pass thanks to the standard power sunroof.
Your drive will be more fun and informed, too. A 7-inch LCD color instrument cluster sits in front of your steering wheel and gives you real-time information on specs and diagnostics.
Kia Stinger GT
A big jump in horsepower comes with our next trim. The 2018 Kia Stinger GT features a 3.3L Twin Turbo Gasoline Direct Injection V6 engine that gets 365 horsepower and 376 lb-ft of torque.
Its design is in line with its added power. It features a lower front grille, larger 19-inch wheels, a heightened rear diffuser, and black chrome accents on the front grille, side vents, hood trim, and mirror caps.
The more powerful design is on the inside as well. Aluminum trim runs throughout the cabin.
Kia Stinger GT1
The 2018 Kia Stinger GT1 trim has the same 3.3L V6 GT engine, but adds an electronically controlled suspension to adjust faster and give you a more responsive ride.
Your display now includes sport gauges, so you can check engine output, oil temperature, and turbo boost pressure. It also has a Chrono lap timer and G-Force Meter if you want to take it out to the track.
Kia Stinger GT2
The most high-end trim is the Kia Stinger GT2. It has the same GT engine but adds more luxury and a lot more standard driver assistance features. Some of those features include:
- Blind Spot Collision Warning with Lane Change Assist
- Forward Collision Warning
- Lane Departure Warning
- Advanced Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go
- High Beam Assist
The GT2 also has its own feel inside with both ventilated front seats and Quilted Nappa Leather Seat Trim. Classic luxury meets futuristic technology with a convenient Head Up Display that projects directions and your current speed right onto the windshield.
