When taking the family on trips or running errands around Avon, Indianapolis, or Plainfield, a spacious minivan is a great choice. The 2019 Kia Sedona is a versatile family friendly minivan.

Kia Sedona L 

The Sedona features seating for seven people. There are plenty of ways to create more cargo space with the 60/40 split-folding 3rd-row seats. For even more space, the Slide-N-Stow® feature lets you store the 3rd-row seats under the floor and slide the second row forward.

The Kia Sedona L also has Tricot fabric seats with YES Essentials®. This fabric has been treated to protect from spills and stains.

Under the hood, this Kia Sedona trim has a 3.3L Gasoline Direct Injection V6 engine that gets 276 horsepower. The engine works with a Dual Continuously Variable Valve Timing and an electronically controlled 6-speed transmission.

Plus, it has standard 17” alloy wheels and gets an EPA-estimated 24 MPG highway[1].

Kia Sedona LX

The next trim up is the Sedona LX. It has the same engine and fuel-efficiency but can seat one more passenger. A removable 2nd-row center seat allows the LX to comfortably seat eight people.

You’ll have peace of mind knowing that everyone inside will be well protected. Every Sedona trim comes with a number of standard safety features. Full-length side curtain airbags protect both sides of the van and Traction Control System (TCS) gives you improved stability.

The LX features all the space and safety features of the L but offers more luxury for the driver. An 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat comes standard and both a leather-wrapped gearshift knob and leather-wrapped steering wheel are available.

There’s more convenience thanks to available infotainment features. The LX offers a UVO 7-inch Color Touch-Screen Display with available Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™. You’ll also have the ability to add voice recognition.

The touchscreen will also help you when backing up. A Rear-Camera Display is standard on all Sedona trims, but the LX has an available Parking Assist feature with Front and Rear Sensors. If you’re parallel parking in a tight spot, they’ll send you alerts if you get too close.

Kia Sedona EX 

A lot of available luxury and technology features start to come standard on the Kia Sedona EX. You’ll notice the difference as soon as you open the doors. Leather trim seats and a leather-wrapped steering wheel give the cabin a more luxurious feel.

The Smart Welcome System detects your key and lights up the standard illuminated door handle pockets to help you find your car in the dark. Your door handles won’t be the only thing helping you in the dark. The Sedona EX has standard front fog lights and light string LED positioning lights to further cut through the fog.

Another feature that helps with visibility are the heated outside mirrors. By warming up, they conveniently get rid of any frost and snow build-up on the mirrors.

Riding in the Sedona EX is more comfortable, too. Tri-Zone Automatic Climate Control lets the driver, front passenger, and rear passengers all select their own temperature settings. Your passengers will be more entertained, too, now that Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ comes standard on this trim.

Storing cargo is easier, as well. Roof rails now come standard, so you can tie down a Christmas tree or a kayak. With its standard Smart Power Liftgate™ you’ll never have to balance bags while reaching for your keys again.

Kia Sedona SX

The next step up in luxury and convenience is the Sedona SX. This trim offers the driver and passengers more comfort with standard ventilated front seats and carpeted floor mats.

When you’re driving, you’ll also have more control thanks to the Drive Mode Select system. This gives you the option to switch between Normal, Eco, and Comfort modes to adjust shift points and steering.

With more control, you’ll also get more safety. The Sedona SX monitors all your surroundings with a standard Blind-Spot Detection system and Rear Cross Traffic Alert.

You’ll get all those safety alerts, plus your music and navigation on a larger screen, too. The SX features an 8-inch touchscreen. It also has an Infinity® 8-speaker audio system with an external amplifier and subwoofers.

Kia Sedona SX Limited 

Lastly, there’s the Kia Sedona SX Limited. This is the most high-end trim and boasts the most safety features.

Standard chrome door handles greet you on your way in. Once inside you’ll find Sound-Absorbing Windshield Glass to give you a quieter ride. There’s also a standard heated steering wheel.

You’ll have more technology helping you and your family stay safe. A Lane Departure Warning System is standard to keep you on the right path. Smart Cruise Control maintains a safe distance from the car in front, even adjusting speed with the flow of traffic.

You’ll even see the road better. High Beam Assist automatically shifts between high or low beams when it detects another car. And your lights will help you stay safer too. Dynamic Bending Light adjusts your headlights to look around the curve while you’re turning.

You’ll sit a little higher in the Sedona SX Limited, too. It’ll feel like you’re on a throne thanks to its 19-inch alloy wheels.
