In 1998, the first Kia Sportage was introduced to the United States. It has been on the cutting edge of innovation ever since. It became the first production vehicle to be equipped with a knee airbag, setting the standard for safety on the roads.

Today, the Sportage is in its fourth generation, a testament to the car’s enduring popularity with drivers around the world. It was the best-selling Kia model in 2016, the year of its latest redesign. That same year, it won the 2016 Red Dot Award for Car Design, a sign that this car’s design efforts haven’t gone unnoticed.

Today, it remains a top-selling car worldwide, with performance, value, and classy design that have been proven time and again! 

Kia Sportage Configurations

There are three different Sportage trim levels: the LX, EX, and SX Turbo. Each comes standard with front-wheel drive (FWD), but you can add all-wheel drive (AWD) if you prefer. In total, that gives you six possible Sportage configurations.

The lower level trims come standard with a 4-cylinder engine with 181 horsepower on tap. It offers plenty of juice to get this ride moving. You’ll find the UVO infotainment system standard on the EX and SX Turbo and available on the LX as part of an optional package.

The SX Turbo runs on a turbocharged 4-cylinder that serves up 240 horsepower for a thrilling drive. You’ll also find first-class amenities, from a panoramic sunroof to a Harmon Kardon® premium sound system!

There’s no doubt about it: The Kia Sportage is a leader in style. Slide into the cabin, and you’ll be greeted by upscale materials and incomparable design. The center stack, which houses the infotainment system, tilts toward the driver, lending the cockpit a sporty character.

The available perforated leather seats come in Black or Gray leather and contrast well with the Sparkling Silver dashboard panel. Step outside, and you’ll find a range of standout color choices for the exterior, including Black Cherry, Burnished Copper, Hyper Red, and Pacific Blue.
